It’s that time again. The weather is getting a bit more chilly, you have traded in your sandals for booties and you are cuddled up indoors more often than not. Being cooped up indoors so much is unfortunately excellent for germs, bacteria and illness to spread. If you recently got a cold, want to prevent a cold or simply want a refreshing relaxing body scrub, we have got one for you to try. This eucalyptus cold fighting body scrub is excellent for fighting off colds, rejuvenation and removing dead skin. Eucalyptus when applied as a oil works to ease congestion and is often used to treated colds, bronchitis as well as the flu. Eucalyptus has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties as well.

Ingredients

1 cup of salt

1/2 cup of carrier oil (olive oil, grape seed oil, apricot oil, jojoba oil) we love them all!

5 drops of peppermint oil

5 drops of Eucalyptus oil

Directions

Mix all Ingredients together. Be sure not to exceed the drops of essential oils. You do not want to go overboard. Too much essential oils can cause irritation to sensitive skin. Don’t panic if you add a tad bit too much, just add more carrier oil to dilute the mixture. Once you mix all the ingredients together and are satisfied with your mix head to the shower. Apply the mixture all over your body and scrub, scrub, scrub. Be careful to avoid the eyes and do not use if you have any open cuts on your skin. You don’t want the mixture to burn or feel uncomfortable. If you are congested be sure to pay extra attention to the chest area. Once you are finished rinse well. You will feel relaxed, rejuvenated and your skin will feel silly smooth. This scrub is perfect for a night in and works great as a gift.

Will you be trying the eucalyptus scrub this season?
