Pumpkin and Vanilla Detox Smoothie

Ready for a quick detox smoothie perfect for the season? Why not try pumpkin? Pumpkin is not  just great for pie or decorating your homes for Halloween, it has amazing health benefits! Pumpkin is full of fiber which helps aid in weight loss. Carotenoids found in pumpkin help fight against cancer as well as aid in fighting against wrinkles. Pumpkin also helps boost your immune system and is a great source of energy. What are you waiting for? Go grab a pumpkin and try out this recipe!

Ingredients 

1 cup of raw pumpkin puree

2 cups of leafy green vegetable (we like spinach)

1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 frozen banana

1 cup of crushed ice

1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed

1 cup of water or almond milk

Directions 

Blend all ingredients together

enjoy!
